Christmas is one of my favorite times of year. I feel that people are in better moods, more generous, and are generally happier than other times of the year. Whether this has something to do with Christ’s birthday is open to speculation. But I think Jesus does have some effect on people during this time.
I think that people are influenced by God’s divine energy and it makes people experience what we call the “Christmas spirit”. Instead, it is God’s spirit, and since many people have lost touch with their faith, it is not thought to be related to God. The secular influence on the world is something that greatly concerns me. People my age and younger are getting into drugs, sex, and really any other distraction from God. It is an accepted culture of heresy that I have to police my own self in order to lapse in my judgment.
However, the effect God has on the world isn’t something that will be lessened. Instead, I have faith that people will become more cognizant of God in the future. That even though things might seem bleak, brighter experiences and outlooks are on the horizon. People will be kinder, less sinful, more aware of the effects of the Devil, and joyful. This phenomenon is one that will take the world by storm and make everyone’s experience of God more powerful. I truly think joy is on the horizon for the entire planet, and God is at the forefront of that experience.
